Bench Mark X 131 was recovered in good condition. A new To Reach follows:

This mark is located at Milepost 36.2 of Routt County Road 129. It is 0.7 mile northwest of Box Creek; 0.28 mile Southeast of a creek crossing; 50 feet west of the top of a hill, and two-track road north to a campsite; 37 feet south of the centerline of Road 129; and 5 feet south of a fence line. The cairn in the previous listing is no longer there.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1934 7.1 MI N FROM COLUMBINE. 7.1 MILES NORTH ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 129 FROM COLUMBINE, ROUTT COUNTY, 0.2 MILE EAST OF A CREEK CROSSING, IN A BARE SPOT AT THE TOP OF A HILL, 30 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, AND 12 FEET SOUTH OF A 3-FOOT CAIRN. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED X 131 1934 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
