A new To Reach follows: East 0.1 mile from the intersection of U.S. 40 and Moffat County Road 61 (Desperado Mine Road) to a road north, thence left 0.05 mile to the intersection of MCR 104 and MCR 165, thence right on MCR 104 3.5 miles to the station on the left. Station is 50 feet north of the centerline of MCR 104, and 29 feet east of a concrete right-of-way marker.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1934 4.1 MI W FROM MASSADONA. 4.1 MILES WEST ALONG U. S. HIGHWAY 40 FROM MASSADONA, MOFFAT COUNTY, 50 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 46 FEET SOUTHEAST OF TELEPHONE POLE 9981, AND 28.8 FEET EAST OF A CONCRETE RIGHT-OF-WAY MARKER. A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED T 47 1934 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in 1992. * This is a POSTED BENCH MARK height. Code A indicates a distribution rate of 0.0 thru 1.0 mm/km.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
