Glorious hike up Mount Raymond via Butler Fork and Bakers Pass. Benchmark was easy to spot and was located on a cool hogsback overlooking EVERYTHING!

Had a great hike up to Mt. Raymond today.

It was really nice trip to the top of Mount Raymond during the holiday in US. On the top w found this benchmark. Nice views from here.

Found this one while bagging a nearby cache.

Up Porter's to Raymond, down the ridge to Gobbler's Knob and then down Bowman. Great hike.

Alexander Basin to Gobblers Knob. Down the saddle and back up to Raymond. Back down through Bowman.

Found SMELTZER NO. 1 on the top of Mt. Raymond.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in November 1997.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
