DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1984 1.9 KM (1.2 MI) SOUTH FROM NORTH WOODSTOCK. 1.9 KM (1.2 MI) SOUTH ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 169 FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 197 IN NORTH WOODSTOCK TO THE MARK ON THE LEFT, ALSO 3.0 KM (1.9 MI) NORTH ALONG HIGHWAY 169 FROM THE POST OFFICE IN WOODSTOCK, 5.33 METERS (17.5 FT) EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 17.06 METERS (56.0 FT) SOUTH OF POWER POLE 3854, 2.74 METERS (9.0 FT) WEST OF A ROCK FENCE. THE MARK IS 0.18 METERS S FROM A WITNESS POST. THE MARK IS 0.18 M BELOW HIGHWAY.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
