Found it.®

Found as described. South end of northeast wing wall. Though I'd never seen a wing wall parallel to the headwall.

Nice location

Why would someone put a sign there? Took alittle time when we got there. However, it was a good thing I read the previous log before I went searching...

Recovered in good condition. The disc is at the NORTH end of the bridge, not the south end as described. It is immediately behind the ID sign in the photo. Averaging the waypoint on a hand held gpsr, refined the coordinates to N41 12.417 W074 40.217 . . . . patrick & shirley

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
