DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1982 0.55 KM (0.35 MI) SE FROM BARRYVILLE. 0.55 KM (0.35 MI) SOUTHEAST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 97 FROM THE POST OFFICE IN BARRYVILLE, TO THE MARK ON THE LEFT, NEAR THE NORTHWEST END OF A STEEL GUARDRAIL, 0.25 KM (0.15 MI) SOUTHEAST OF THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 55 IN BARRYVILLE, 9.75 METERS (32.0 FT) NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 10.40 METERS (34.1 FT) SOUTHWEST OF UTILITY POLE NUMBER 159, 9.50 METERS (31.2 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF A PRIVATE DRIVE, 1.43 METERS (4.7 FT) EAST OF A STEEL GUARDRAIL. THE MARK IS 0.40 METERS W FROM A WITNESS POST. THE MARK IS 0.15 M BELOW HIGHWAY.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
