The station mark was recovered in good condition at the posted coordinates. Reference Mark 1 was recovered in good condition at N 41° 28.300 W 079° 27.388. The azimuth mark was recovered in good condition at N 41° 28.005 W 079° 27.071. Reference Mark 2 was searched for and not found. Add to description, the telephone line has been removed, and the station mark is on the north side of a track road.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1935 (JB) THE STATION IS ON THE SUMMIT OF A WOODED HILL ON A GAME PRESERVE OWNED BY MR. VERNON TAYLOR OF INDIANA. IT IS 4.7 METERS WEST OF A NORTH-SOUTH TELEPHONE LINE AND A PIPE LINE THAT FOLLOWS THE TELEPHONE LINE, 13.4 METERS NORTHWEST OF A 9-INCH OAK TREE THAT HAS A TRIANGULAR BLAZE ON THE WEST SIDE, THIS TREE BEING ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE TELEPHONE LINE, AND 3.4 METERS SOUTH OF A 6-INCH OAK TREE WITH A TRIANGULAR BLAZE ON THE NORTH SIDE, THIS TREE BEING ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE TELEPHONE LINE. THE MARK PROJECTS 6 INCHES, AND IS STAMPED TAYLOR 1935. TO REACH THE STATION FROM TIONESTA, GO SOUTH FROM THE POST OFFICE 0.6 MILE TO THE BRIDGE OVER THE TIONESTA CREEK, HERE TURN RIGHT (SOUTHWEST) AND GO 1.2 MILES TO THE TOP OF THE HILL TO A 24-INCH TREE WITH A TRIANGULAR BLAZE ON THE WEST SIDE (THIS TREE IS ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND OPPOSITE AN OLD TRAIL), TURN RIGHT ON THE OLD TRAIL AND GO NORTHWARD FOR ABOUT 190 METERS TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF A FIELD, THEN GO NORTHEAST ABOUT 70 METERS TO THE PIPE LINE AND TELEPHONE LINE, TURN LEFT AT THE TELEPHONE LINE AND FOLLOW IT TO THE TOP OF THE HILL AND THE STATION. REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS 26.925 METERS (88.33 FEET) NORTHEAST OF THE STATION, 6.0 METERS EAST OF THE TELEPHONE LINE. THE MARK PROJECTS 12 INCHES, AND IS STAMPED TAYLOR 1935 NO. 1. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS 28.277 METERS (92.78 FEET) SOUTHEAST OF THE STATION, 5.5 METERS EAST OF THE TELEPHONE LINE. THE MARK PROJECTS 10 INCHES, AND IS STAMPED TAYLOR 1935 NO. 2. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS APPROXIMATELY 0.35 MILE SOUTHEAST OF THE STATION, IS 7 PACES WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF A MACADAM ROAD ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD FROM A SMALL FRAME SCHOOL, AND 74 PACES SOUTH OF A FORK IN THE ROAD, THE MACADAM ROAD GOING SOUTH AND A DIRT ROAD GOING SOUTHEAST. THE MARK IS NOT VISIBLE FROM THE GROUND AT THE STATION. IN ORDER TO SEE IT, IT WILL BE NECESSARY TO CLEAR THE TREES AT THE STATION. THE MARK PROJECTS 10 INCHES, AND IS STAMPED TAYLOR 1935. DISTANCE BETWEEN REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 AND REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS 168.06 FEET. A 77-FOOT TOWER NECESSARY. SURFACE, UNDERGROUND, REFERENCE AND AZIMUTH MARKS ARE AS DESCRIBED IN NOTES 1A, 7A AND 11A.
