Doing research at the Linn County Historical Museum. Found pictures from c1978 of a very prominent tower very near the edge of the river. Found acticles about old structures being torn down for building expansions. Later pictures in 1990 do not show the tower. Tower is NOT present at the location and would be very hard to miss if it was still there.
