DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1949 (DHK) STATION IS THE CENTER OF THE JAYS ROOST LOOKOUT TOWER LOCATED ABOUT 14 MILES NORTHWEST OF MTN. HOME, AND ABOUT 13.5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CENTENNIAL. THE LOOKOUT CONSISTS OF A 6-FOOT SQUARE PLATFORM ATOP A STRUCTURAL STEEL TOWER ABOUT 30 FEET HIGH.

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in January 1997.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
