Walked by and noted the name change - but yup still here.

Out touring Boston with my family. Based on the pictures other provided, we saw it, walked by the building, looked up at it.

It's now Taj Boston but it's still here.

saw this one from the garden.

We took this nice pic of the MY2961 with nearby BM Prudential Bldg radio mast from Boston Common. MY2961 is in the center of the photo.

I could see from the description that what I saw was the correct spot. The glass is gone

I can not say that I saw any green lights up there, but here is a little better photo. I looked at the ortho and birdseye and just don't seem to see what is described.

As far as I can tell, it's still there! The green glass is gone, but by comparing the roof now to postcards of the building from the '30s on eBay, it looks the same. I guess the station is the cage-like assembly up there.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1934 (FLP) THIS IS AN INTERSECTION STATION. IT IS IN THE NW SECTION OF THE CITY OF BOSTON PROPER, ON THE NW CORNER OF ARLINGTON AND NEWBURY STREETS, AT THE WESTERN SIDE OF THE PUBLIC GARDENS. THE STATION IS ON THE RITZ-CARLTON HOTEL WHICH WAS ERECTED IN 1926. ON THE FLAT ROOF OF THE BUILDING THERE IS A RED BRICK PENTHOUSE OVER THE ELEVATOR SHAFT. AT THE APEX OF THE ROOF OF PENTHOUSE THERE IS AN AERIAL BEACON. THE LIGHT FRAME IS BRONZE AND SQUARE IN CROSS-SECTION WITH TWO ROUND GREEN GLASS LENSES IN EACH SIDE. THE LIGHT IS ABOUT 170 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE LIGHT IS FIXED GREEN. THE POINT OBSERVED ON WAS THE CENTER OF THE LIGHT.
