DESCRIBED BY MASSACHUSETTS GEODETIC SURVEY 1937 A STATE SURVEY STANDARD TRIANGULATION DISK, STAMPED HARRINGTON 1937, SET IN A 3- BY 2-FOOT BOULDER 1.5 FEET HIGH, ON LAND OF ARTHUR HARRINGTON, ON SE SIDE OF A HIGH RIDGE IN THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF THE TOWN. STATION IS 75 FEET S OF A STONE WALL AND 310 FEET SE OF A 3-FOOT OAK ON THE N SIDE OF THE WALL. REFERENCE MARKS ARE THREE STATE SURVEY STANDARD DISKS, STAMPED HARRINGTON 1937 MGS R.M. NO. 1, R.M. NO. 2, AND R.M. NO. 3, RESPECTIVELY, SET IN LEDGE, LOCATED FROM THE STATION AS FOLLOWS-- REFERENCE MARK NO. 1, 73.27 FEET, IN GEODETIC AZIMUTH 278 DEG 58 MIN 38 SEC. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2, 93.36 FEET, IN GEODETIC AZIMUTH 4 DEG 04 MIN 08 SEC. REFERENCE MARK NO. 3, 39.38 FEET, IN GEODETIC AZIMUTH 153 DEG 49 MIN 45 SEC. AZIMUTH MARK IS STANDPIPE, WINCHENDON, IN GEODETIC AZIMUTH 260 DEG 55 MIN 46 SEC. TO REACH STATION FROM ROYALSTON POST OFFICE, GO S 200 FEET TO S ROYALSTON ROAD, ON LEFT, FOLLOW IT 0.6 MILE EASTERLY TO FORK, KEEP RIGHT 0.3 MILE SE TO BRIDGE, CONTINUE SE AND SOUTHERLY 2.1 MILES TO WHITE HOUSE ON E SIDE OF ROAD BELONGING TO MR. HARRINGTON. ENTER DRIVEWAY BETWEEN HOUSE AND BARN AND CONTINUE EASTERLY ON WINDING LANE BETWEEN TWO STONE WALLS, PASSING ANOTHER LANE ON RIGHT, TO END OF LANE AND OPENING IN S WALL, FROM WHICH A PATH LEADS SE TO STATION, A TOTAL DISTANCE OF 3600 FEET FROM THE HIGHWAY. A 12-FOOT TOWER WAS USED IN 1937 AND AFFORDS A CLEAR VIEW EXCEPT TOWARD THE N.
