REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS A U.S. FOREST SERVICE BRONZE DISK SET IN A DRILL HOLE IN BEDROCK, ABOUT 24 INCHES HIGHER THAN STATION, PROJECTS 18 INCHES, AND STAMPED, 25 1936. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS ABOUT 6 INCHES LOWER THAN STATION, PROJECTS 24 INCHES, AND STAMPED, WARBONNET NO 2 1948. AZIMUTH MARK IS LOCATED ABOUT MIDWAY ON A RIDGE WHICH RUNS NORTH AND SOUTH, 6 FEET NORTH OF A WHITE WITNESS POST, PROJECTS 8 FEET, AND STAMPED, WARBONNET 1948. END OF TRUCK TRAVEL, PACK EAST UP ROCKY SLOPE TO HIGHEST POINT AND STATION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. A TEN MINUTE PACK. NOTE--TO DRIVE LAST MILE OF ABOVE, IT REQUIRES A TRUCK WITH FOUR WHEEL DRIVE.

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in January 1997.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
