While taking a walk with my daughter I remembered to look out for this one. I explained what it was for to her and said we could log the "treasure". My first logged benchmark but hope to do plenty more.

I have walked by here and even touched it many times. Never thought about logging it until now.

[green]Discovered this one with 1manteam and kayakerinme.

i grew up in bath,,have sat on the benchmark disk many times,,just saw it the other day also,, its still there.

Found with Andy and Harry.

My first one. Just as said on the corner. But I would park around the corner on the north side of the court house and walk back. Very busy intersection. I live just north of it.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
