OF ELK POST OFFICE, WYOMING. TO REACH FROM MORAN POST OFFICE, WYOMING, GO E. 7.8 MI. ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 26 AND 287 TO RD. JUNCTION AT U.S.F.S. HATCHET CAMP GROUND. (THIS RD. JUNCTION IS 0.2 MI. E. OF HATCHET MOTEL AND 0.1 MI. W. OF THE U.S.F.S. BLACK ROCK RANGER STATION OFFICE.) LEAVE HIGHWAY AND GO S. (EASTERLY) 2.9 MI. ALONG GRADED RD. TO RD. FORK, BESIDE A SMALL LAKE, TAKE RIGHT FORK AND CONTINUE 1.8 MI. ALONG RD. TO RD. FORK AT U.S.F.S. SIGN POST READING ---TO BALDY 1.0 - 4 AND LILY LAKE - 1---, TAKE LEFT FORK AND CONTINUE 1.8 MI. TO MINOR RD. FORK, LEAVE GRADED RD. AND TAKE LEFT FORK (THIS RD. FORK IS 0.3 MI. NW. OF LILY LAKE), CONTINUE 1.2 MI. ALONG TRACK RD. TO BALD OPEN RIDGE TOP AND STATION SITE.   • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
