After seeing this from several places I finally got within camera range at an overlook on the Park Loop.

What a glorious site from the cruise ship

Saw this from some cliffs in Acadia NP when I was visiting there last fall.

We saw this from the shore between Winter Harbor and Summer Harbor, and even though the distance was long and our photo lacks clarity, the shape was unmistakeable!

Backlit by the sun with the Mt. Desert skyline behind

Found this while doing geocache. Looks to be in good condition.

WHo knew you could spent the day whale watching and log a bench mark. The photo is a bit fuzzy, but the ship was moving at top speed.

Took photo through my binoculars!

Could not get out to the station but observed light house while doing virtual cache. Fun time at over look was huge eagle sitting on top of a lone Pine tree by the water.
