Went to the precise described location and the Station Marker is not there. It appears that improvements to the highway intersection, and landscaping on the Mel's Diner property has destroyed it.

THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 0.4 MILE WNW OF THE VILLAGE OF WILMINGTON IN A PASTURE ON THE PROPERTY OF GEORGE LAPAN. IT IS ABOUT 50 YARDS WSW OF THE JUNCTION OF NEW YORK HIGHWAYS 86 AND 431 AND 40 FEET S OF THE CENTER LINE OF HIGHWAY 431. IT IS A BRONZE U.S.G.S. DISK SET IN A DRILL HOLE IN A 6-FOOT BY 6-FOOT BOULDER WHICH PROJECTS ABOUT 1 FOOT. IT IS STAMPED TT62 MC 1942.
REFERENCE MARKS ARE BRONZE DISKS SET IN DRILL HOLES IN BOULDERS.
REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS S OF THE STATION AND 97 FEET WNW OF THE CENTER LINE OF NEW YORK HIGHWAY 86. IT IS STAMPED TT62 MC 1942 U.S.G.S. NO. 1 1942.
REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS W BY S OF THE STATION AND 65 FEET S OF THE CENTER LINE OF NEW YORK HIGHWAY 431. IT IS STAMPED TT62 MC 1942 U.S.G.S. NO. 2 1942.
AZIMUTH MARK IS A BRONZE DISK SET IN CONCRETE, AS DESCRIBED IN NOTE 11A.
THE AZIMUTH MARK IS ABOUT 0.8 MILE ESE OF THE STATION, 100 FEET ENE OF THE REAR SIDE OF A YELLOW FRAME SCHOOLHOUSE, IN THE NE CORNER OF THE SCHOOLYARD AND 3 FEET W OF A WHITE REFERENCE POST. IT IS STAMPED TT62 MC 1942 U.S.G.S. 1942 AND PROJECTS 6 INCHES.
TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE AU SABLE RIVER BRIDGE IN WILMINGTON GO WESTERLY ON NEW YORK HIGHWAY 86 FOR 0.35 MILE TO THE JUNCTION WITH NEW YORK HIGHWAY 431 AND THE STATION ABOUT 50 YARDS WSW OF THE JUNCTION. TO REACH THE AZIMUTH MARK FROM THE SHELL SERVICE STATION ON THE S SIDE OF THE MAIN STREET GO S ON THE SIDE STREET FOR 0.15 MILE AND TURN LEFT. GO 0.1 MILE TO A FRAME SCHOOL AND THE AZIMUTH MARK.
A 6-FOOT SIGNAL AT WHITEFACE MT. IS VISIBLE FROM THE GROUND. A 4-FOOT SIGNAL AT PALMER IS VISIBLE AT 77 FEET.
HEIGHT OF LIGHT ABOVE STATION MARK 26 METERS.
