Found this after working on CITO event in Appleton. Still in good shape.

FRMR and I out looking for things after the appleton 3 for 3 CITO event. Recovered as described.

Knew this one was here, just hadn't located it yet. We found it today, as described and in good condition.

This was our first benchmark. We found it without looking at any of the pictures. But the coordinates listed in the .loc file that we downloaded seemed to be way off. And with all the new remoldeling that was done we thought it had been moved. It is still there.

A quick find to boost our experience. Took a couple of pictures. Watchout... R got excited and almost bushed!

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
