IT IS 4 FEET NORTH OF THE WEST CORNER POST OF THE RAILING AROUND THE LOOKOUT HOUSE, 8 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE WEST CORNER OF THE LOOKOUT HOUSE AND 29 FEET SOUTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST. REFERENCE MARK NUMBER 1 IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED GROUSE NO 1 1957 CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN OUTCROPPING BEDROCK THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE GROUND. IT IS 18 INCHES LOWER THAN THE STATION. REFERENCE MARK NUMBER 2 IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED GROUSE NO 2 1957 CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN OUTCROPPING BEDROCK THAT PROJECTS 3 INCHES ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS 3 FEET NORTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST AND 2 FEET LOWER THAN THE STATION. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED GROUSE 1957 CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN OUTCROPPING BEDROCK THAT PROJECTS 3 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS 12 FEET EAST OF A 2-FOOT CAIRN AND 18 FEET EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF A DIRT ROAD. GROUSE 2 (USGS) IS A U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY DISK STAMPED GROUSE 2 1956 CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN OUTCROPPING BEDROCK THAT PROJECTS 2 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS 18 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF THE LOOKOUT HOUSE. Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in July 1992.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
