Lots of fires and smoke today. Still beautiful!

Found in great shape!

Found while geocaching.

Found while checking out the Carey Dome lookout & a cache in the area.

Benchmark recovery was made more difficult by 4" of fresh snowfall.

Nice easy find. The BM didn't seem in that bad a shape to me, but what do I know. The RM's were rock solid and in fine shape.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in July 1992.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
