Megascooter and I decided to try and find this mark again with better poison oak weapons. Unfortunately our efforts were not rewarded with a find. The mark was found deformed and off of it's mount.

Sad. The quarry operations have destroyed this station and its monument.

Sadly did not find the Station. Reference Mark 2 was found with Mega Scooter's help. Fun trying nonetheless.

We did not find the Station Mark or RM 1. HOLD may be buried deeper than my 30 inch probe can find. Poison oak all around discouraged more digging. RM 1 has probably fallen to the near by quarry. It looks like RM 2 is about to do the same.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in October 1991.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
