Found in good condition with both Reference Marks and the AZ mark. New to reach:

From the intersection of US-41 and Maas St. in Negaunee, go east on US-41 2.1 miles. Turn left on Heritage Dr. for .5 miles, then right on Airport Circle for .9 miles. Turn left on Cedar Ln. for .25 miles. AZ mark is in the front yard at 121 Cedar Lane.

Turn right on Wilderness Road and go Northeast for about 0.3 miles, then pack northwest about 0.1 miles to the top of the hill and the station.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1955 (NET) STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 8 MILES, AIRLINE, WEST OF MARQUETTE, ABOUT 3 MILES NORTHEAST OF NEGAUNEE, AND ABOUT 1 MILE NORTH OF U.S. HIGHWAY 41 ON A LONE ROUND TOPPED WOODED HILL ON LAND OWNED BY MR. HARVEY KOSKI AND BROTHERS. IT IS IN SEC. 21, T. 48 N., R. 26 W. TO REACH FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 41 AND STATE HIGHWAYS 35 AND 28, AT THE EAST EDGE OF NEGAUNEE--GO EAST ON U.S. 41 FOR 2.4 MILES TO A SIDE ROAD LEFT, TURN LEFT AND GO NORTH ON OILED ROAD FOR 0.7 MILE TO A T INTERSECTION AND AZIMUTH MARK ON LEFT ABOUT 210 FEET SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION. TURN RIGHT AND GO NORTHEASTERLY ON GRAVEL ROAD FOR ABOUT 0.3 MILE TO THE CORNER OF A PASTURE AND END OF TRUCK TRAVEL. FROM HERE PACK NORTHWEST FOR ABOUT 0.2 MILE TO TOP OF HILL AND STATION. THE STATION MARK, A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED NEGAUNEE 1955 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A SQUARE TOPPED CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 8 INCHES, IS ABOUT 125 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTH END OF THE HILL AND 8 FEET SOUTH OF A WHITE WITNESS POST NAILED TO A TREE. REFERENCE MARK NO.1, A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED NEGAUNEE NO 1 1955, IS CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF A GRANITE OUTCROP 3 FEET HIGHER THAN THE STATION. REFERENCE MARK NO.2, A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED NEGAUNEE NO 2 1955, IS CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE OF A GRANITE OUTCROP 6 FEET HIGHER THAN THE STATION. THE AZIMUTH MARK, A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED NEGAUNEE 1955, IS SET IN THE TOP OF A SQUARE TOPPED CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 8 INCHES. IT IS 210 FEET SOUTH OF THE INTERSECTION MENTIONED ABOVE, 26 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER OF THE ROAD, 3.5 FEET EAST OF A FENCE AND 1.5 FEET NORTH OF A WHITE WITNESS POST NAILED TO A TELEPHONE POLE. HEIGHT OF LIGHT ABOVE STATION MARK 14 METERS.
