THE STATION MARKS ARE STANDARD DISKS, STAMPED LITTLE GREEN 1959. THE SURFACE DISK IS SET IN THE TOP OF AN 11-INCH SQUARE, CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 6 INCHES. IT IS 32 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER OF THE ROAD LEADING TO THE LOOKOUT TOWER, 24 FEET WEST-NORTHWEST OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE LOG CABIN, 20 FEET NORTHEAST OF A TRIANGLE BLAZE ON THE EAST SIDE OF AN 18-INCH PINE TREE AND 23 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE LOG CABIN. THE UNDERGROUND DISK IS SET IN AN IRREGULAR MASS OF CONCRETE 28 INCHES BELOW THE GROUND SURFACE. REFERENCE MARK 1 IS A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED LITTLE GREEN NO 1 1959, SET IN THE TOP OF AN 11-INCH SQUARE, CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 8 INCHES. IT IS 57 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE 18-INCH PINE TREE, 39 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTHWEST LEG OF THE LOOKOUT TOWER AND 38 FEET SOUTH OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE LOG CABIN. REFERENCE MARK 2 IS A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED LITTLE GREEN NO 2 1959, SET IN THE TOP OF AN 11-INCH SQUARE, CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 8 INCHES. Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in July 1992.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
