I found the Mt. Aix benchmark after summiting Mt. Aix. However, I found another benchmark (a disc) closer to where the tower would have been. I decided to log that second disc as this benchmark with the thought that it marked the location of where the tower used to stand.

I saw lots of remnants of the watch tower including much of the cabling and rock walls. There is a nice bivy shelter right below the flat top as well.

Destroyed in 1961.

I placed a cache here a month or so ago. The watch tower that the benchmark is supposed to be at the apex of isn't there anymore. the tower has been gone for years.
