The lookout house is still there at the top of Granite Mountain. According to the US Forest service website, the lookout was originally built in 1924 and rebuilt in 1955. Based on old pictures the lookout house is clearly not the same shape, so it's unlikely to be suitable as the original station.

Either way, an enjoyable hike with amazing views in all directions.

Can't miss it! :-)

Part of the Ape Event.

Recovered as described. Monumented in 1936. Lookout tower was open today so we got great views from up there.

This one is visible from many locations around the area, recently I've seen it from Snoqualmie Mt and Bandera Mt (proper)

Nice day on the mountain. Too bad the lookout was locked.

Time to get some hiking in before the snow flies.

Ga-ding, found it. I can confirm the mountain has not moved, hee he.

This is a popular hike in summer and climb in winter. Been there many times.
