KEEP THE RIGHT FORK AND CONTINUE FOR 2.4 MILES TO THE TOP OF THE HILL AND THE STATION IN A CLEARED AREA. THE STATION MARK IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED CANYON 2 1973. IT IS SET IN THE TOP OF A 12-INCH CYLINDRICAL CONCRETE MONUMENT WHICH PROJECTS ABOUT 2 INCHES. IT IS 39 FEET EAST OF WHERE THE TRACK ROAD ENTERS THE CLEARED AREA AND 3.6 FEET SOUTH OF A METAL WITNESS POST. THERE IS NO UNDERGROUND STATION MARK. REFERENCE MARK 2 IS A STANDARD DISK STAMPED CANYON 2 NO 2 1973. IT IS CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE TOP OF A 6 BY 10-FOOT OUTCROP OF BEDROCK WHICH PROJECTS ABOUT 1 FOOT AND IS ABOUT 2 FEET HIGHER THAN THE STATION. IT IS 65-1/2 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF WHERE THE TRACK ROAD ENTERS THE CLEARED AREA, 59.6 FEET SOUTH OF THE WITNESS POST NEAR THE STATION AND 13.6 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST LEG FOUNDATION OF AN OLD LOOKOUT TOWER. Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in December 1991.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
