Drove up and checked out the tower and talked to the nice volunteers.

Drove to the top while geocaching.

Found as described but did not search for RMs.

Have been to the lookout many times before, but this time spent some time looking for an actual BM disk or marker. Was unable to find one anywhere? But am logging the lookout tower itself as others have done. The lookout has been repainted and the Suntop Lookout sign formerly on the exterior was nowhere to be seen.

Drove to the top, I was the only person there.

Really enjoyed visiting this lookout and chatting with the volunteer fire watcher and her son.

Had a nice visit with the person womanning the lookout.

By the description it is the center of the Lookout Room. The volunteers gave the elevation of the lookout as 5280 feet (GPSr reading at bottom of steps gave 5260 feet - pretty close!). Forgot to take note of the coords but feel that the given coords are probably off by 100 feet plus, next trip I will get the actual coords from four sides of building and average. ORNITH

found it while doing a cache with LandRover today.

Found while doing a geocahe in the area.

Wow! What a great place with very little effort. There is a gate across the road about a mile below the lookout.
