Found on my way to Mark's Bench.

It would appear that the original mark is no more. The mark I found at the location does not match the description in the data sheet. Also viewing the photo in the log dated 06/22/2008 as a comparison shows that the mark there now is a new one. Also as seen in my photo, the new mark is different and the curb/corner walkway has been replaced. This is why I marked this one as Destroyed.

It seems like the mark was removed during renewal of curbs.
See attached picture and the log from m&h from 4/10/2006.

The location is precisely as described, handheld coordinates N 47 36 45.8, W 122 08 35.3. The disk is not stamped, and is a City of Bellevue disk, not King County (WA0109). In the area shot, the disk is in the curb just left of the concrete joint, on a line with the right post of the Riva Chase sign.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in October 1996.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
