Couldn't find this one. Lookout tower no longer there. Replaced with communication towers. It may be gone. Will look again sometime.

found it

Couldn't find the benchmark disk. I notice none of the previous 'finders' did either; they logged a find for the reference mark. Wonder if it's gone.

A geocache right by. My brother found this benchmark, saying, hey, whats this. I got excited, then had to explain.

excellent condition

I found the RM right away. The RM pointed right at a new storage shed and the BM was not to be found.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in December 1991.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
