LOT with Craig W

We drove up to see what the view from Omak Mountain would be like since we look out at it every day from our house. Yes, this road is rough! We parked about 1/8 of a mile from the top to give the flock of beagles a walk and, yes, we were able to spot our house! Great views. What a rocky mountaintop!

This is a hell of a road. You will need a 4WD or to hike to the top.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in December 1991.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The X, Y, and Z were computed from the position and the ellipsoidal ht.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The ellipsoidal height was determined by GPS observations and is referenced to NAD 83.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
