Spotted it while visiting Lightning Bill.

According to the data sheet (last activity 1950), the benchmark is the top of the lookout cupola. There is a reference mark dated 1961, set in the concrete step and a benchmark, also dated 1961, set in the rock nearby.

Pardon my macro ability; also have even fuzzier pic of Reference Mark No. 1
photoMuch improved 2005 pic

We hike Goat Peak every year, the benchmark is obvious. Nice place to hike, especially in the summer when the fire lookout (Lightnin' Bill) is there. he will take a poloroid of you, he has hundreds. Be sure to take him some sort of treat. Babnabirdy(s)

Hope to get up here again with a geocache as a bonus!
