There seem to be lots of benchmarks around courhouses in Texas, and the Lee County Courthouse is no exception.

Found while driving from Austin to Houston. Stopped in this little town for a great cache that has lots of favorite points. A big TB hotel GC4A6WQ. Who knew this little town would have so many benchmarks! Spent more time here than I thought I would… Took tons of pictures!

Discovered this with Huff-Suter, Trea and Rambetta.

Discovered this benchmark with Team_Red_J, Rambetta and Trea!!!!

Found it while on our way to Austin this morning... and by sheer luck, we met the Lee County Treasurer while taking pictures outside the doorsteps: she was so kind to let us visit the inside of the building, including the very impressive main courtroom itself on the 2nd floor: simply beautiful, definitely a 'must see'!

I can't believe that more people don't log this beautiful building as a benchmark. One of the more outstanding benchmark finds in the state. And there is another BM right across the street.

great old courthouse.. undergoing some work..

Found while on a tour of the area's Painted Churches.

I was on my way from Houston to watch a baseball game in Round Rock. What a magnificent building!

I got a good picture of this pretty courthouse.

Recovered as described and the tower is in good condition.

The flagpole in the center of the tower to mark the station is no longer visible from the ground. I'm not sure if this implies this benchmark is destroyed...

Nice looking building. Currently undergoing a major renovation to bring it back to pristine condition.
