My team from org behavior class is trying geo-caching as our team activity. This benchmark was searched for as a way to make sure we could use a Tom-tom road map GPS to find coordinates. It worked great. The benchmark is well marked by green angle iron and a round disk around it. it's 6 inches underground, and you'll need to dig to look at it.

Found, and in a now secure position. 6 to 8 inches below the surface, bring something to scoop the soil, some water, and remark the area if you get a chance, the FG posting marking it is falling apart.

It is nice finding benchmarks on campus. Still in good condition.

Great place for a BM designated "Education"!

The benchmark is there in excellent condition not quite a foot below the surface. It has a 3' survey marker next to it. It's now 15' SE of the corner of the main path.

Most of the Education building has been destroyed, but EDUCATION station survived the destruction. Let's see if it survives the subsequent construction.

Benchmark recovered in excellent condition, although buried by chips to ground level. It's about 4 feet SE of the corner of the main concrete walking-path at the NW corner of the Education building. About 1 foot west of a N-S concrete flower bed edging.

This benchmark was recovered in good condition.

The description as given no longer applies, since the roads have now been blocked off and built over.

Roma Ave. no longer exists at the location of this benchmark. The surface has been built up so that the benchmark is now about 6-8 inches below the surface of the ground.

The benchmark is near the northwest corner of the College of Education. The concrete walls listed in the original description are now mower strips that only rise above the surface of the ground a couple inches.
