Found this one on accident. I had looked for literally 2 months ago (Nov 27th) but couldn't find it. I was on base today looking for JK0159 which was supposed to have been in the parking lot to the north but it wasn’t there. The web site posts this benchmark at N 38° 58.150 W 104° 48.750, while Av8trx lists it at N38 58.181 W104 48.774, but my GPSr has it at N38 58.175 W104 48.772. Either way, the disk is still in great condition.

Found as described in good condition.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
