DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1951 12.2 MI NW FROM PARKDALE. 1.3 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG THE DENVER AND RIO GRANDE WESTERN RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT PARKDALE, THENCE 1.6 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 50, THENCE 9.3 MILES NORTHWEST ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 9, 90 FEET NORTHWEST OF A FENCE CORNER, 15 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, SET IN THE TOP OF THE NORTHWEST END OF THE NORTHEAST HEADWALL OF A 20X30 FOOT CONCRETE CULVERT.

END OF THE NE. HEADWALL OF A CONCRETE CULVERT ON THE OLD HWY A STANDARD TABLET STAMPED D-287 1951.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
