Still here. Where else would it go!? Didn't know that a dome could be a benchmark. Discovered this today while looking for the Five Crosses Cache. Unfortunately, I didn't save the picture I took on my phone.

I spotted this benchmark while I was in the area today.

Nice day to go caching/and benchmarking I was w/Pathfinder and my mom.

Found this on a super windy day... had to hold the hats down!

TRAKD Was Here! :-)

Found with Hynr while doing 47Dad47's webcam cache.

Constsruction at the site, but the dome is clearly visible.

Jeo was here
Had to leave kind of quick due to a fast approaching lightning and thunder storm

It's certainly not the tallest point in this area anymore. I wonder if it's still useful to surveyors.

Have attended Mass here.

not far from my hotel thanks USGS for the benchmark.

Part of Sacramento's Second Webcam Cache hunt.

Working on "Sacramento's Second Webcam Cache" on the side while walking between geocaches here in downtown Sacramento on a beautiful day. mr mo of "two bison"

Found this one with NightKnight but didn't have a profile yet. Just catching up.

Another one found doing the Sacramento's Second Web Cam cache. I like these buildings.

Another one!!! I'm on a roll.

It would have to be this dome that is the benchmark. Not much doubt about that.

We were a little unsure which of the two domes was the one in question...the big one or the little one. 47Dad47 and others seem to think it's the big one, but we could make a case for the little one as well...it would be a better choice as a marker because there is a more defined point, and because it's taller and therefore more visible from a distance. But since we saw both domes, we figure it's a find either way. NOTE: Since our camera's battery died before we got here, we have copied 47Dad47's photo from the Spire benchmark page to demonstrate what we mean about the two domes. Hope you don't mind, 47Dad47! Thanks!

photoTwo Domes...Which One?
We're inclined to think perhaps the smaller, but taller, dome is the benchmark, but it may actually be the larger one as others have surmised. Thanks again, 47Dad47, for the picture...hope you don't mind that we "borrowed" it!

I attended this location in the process of doing Sacramento's Second Web Cache. The photo proves that I was there.
