Spotted this while caching. And then went to visit it...

Kudos to the state for keeping this building in operation for the use of the government and the enjoyment of the public. Great job.

Walking in the park looking for a cache with TTEK and he mentioned this benchmark to check out.

I've spotted this one many times but never seem to get a good pic of it. Well this trip was no different and I ended up with a very bad pic but it is a pic of the dome from Hwy 50.

photoJS4124

Wow, I see it every time I go to work.

I've seen this many times, I didn't know it was a benchmark. I am used to the brass discs.

I worked as a guide at the Californa State Capitol Museum and had a couple of opportunities to take guests up to the cupola of the dome. Very few people get a chance to view the capitol and surrounding area from the cupola. Everyone who visits has the option of signing the inside of the structure. Awesome place.

Found as described.

Out with the Sprout taking in the scenery and doing a bit of benchmarking along the way.

Gorgeous Capitol Building and Park!

Learn this from the Schooltch4daz, great location. Jasc the Brat and the Schooltch4daz.

Found the location. knew this from a capitol tour info. Schooltch4daz and the Brat.

The beautiful dome still shines brightly in the downtown area but it is not as easily accessible as before because of increased security. There are still tours available and if you haven't viewed it from the inside you've missed something special.

See this everytime we are down in this area.

I liked the 1954 description stating that this was located at about the center of Sacramento. I doubt that is still the case with all the growth over the years!

I work in the building, and in fact, can see the dome from our office on the sixth floor. Guess I should log it since I see it everyday! :)

can't miss this one!

The crown of our State.

I wuz 4wheeler's designated driver today.

Found this part of 2nd webcam cache with TeamAlamo and 4wheeler.

First visited the Capitol when my father stopped us here on the way from San Jose to camping at Tahoe in 1956. It is still a beautiful building, particularly from the Tower Bridge.

Found this one with NightKnight but didn't have a profile yet. Just catching up.

Found it late tonight doing the Sacramento's Second Web Cam Cache. My favorite one of all...Thanks 47Dad47.

Beautiful day in Sacramento.

I spy! Another one!

Caching & benchmarking my way around town. Some kind of event was being set up on the lawn.

We eyeballed the ball that sits on the cupola that sits on the dome that sits on the capitol building that sits in the city that sits in the state that Ahnold is building.

I attended this location in the process of doing Sacramento's Second Web Cache. The photo proves that I was there.
