Went back for this one.Found at NE corner of building at 519 Front St. which was .2 away from listed coords.Found at N39 13.394 W106 00.088

I think we found the garden, but couldn't find the boulder or the disk.

AT FAIRPLAY, 37 FEET SOUTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE MAIN STREET, 5 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE LINDSEY AND BIRCH VARIETY STORE, IN A 10X16 FOOT FLOWER AND ROCK GARDEN, 3.7 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND, SET IN THE TOP OF A GRANITE BOULDER.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
