It's always great to find LOVE. Dianne, Dillon, and I just got back from getting Dillon (one of our special needs cockatiels adopted from theGabrielFoundation.org) a health check a the Gabriel Foundation which is just north of Elizabeth on the 13. We also found the cache located with the benchmark. TFTC!

Hard not to find this one, with a geocache right there.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1991 STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 8 KM (5.0 MI) EAST-SOUTHEAST OF FRANKTOWN, 0.3 KM (0.2 MI) WEST OF THE DOUGLAS-ELBERT COUNTY LINE, ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 86, IN A FIELD ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, AT MILE 12.1, IN THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 9, T 8 S, R 65 W. OWNERSHIP--DOUGLAS COUNTY. TO REACH FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAYS 83 AND 86 IN FRANKTOWN, GO EAST ON HIGHWAY 86 FOR 6.84 KM (4.25 MI) TO A ROAD RIGHT AT TOP OF GRADE (DEERFIELD ROAD).   • The horizontal coordinates were established by GPS observations and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in May 1992.
  • The orthometric height was determined by GPS observations and a high-resolution geoid model.
  • The X, Y, and Z were computed from the position and the ellipsoidal ht.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The ellipsoidal height was determined by GPS observations and is referenced to NAD 83.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
