Standing right below it today.

Every day and night from the hotelroom

First try:
Cool.??

Second try:
Quite simply searched, found, finished ...

And now again right:
On our way from Leipzig on vacation to New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Niagara Falls, Cleveland, Toledo, Chicago, Sioux City, Badlands NP, Mount Rushmore, Bighorn Mountains, Cody, Yellowstone NP, Jackson, Grand Teton NP, Salt Lake City, Bryce Canyon NP, Lake Powell, Grand Canyon, Williams, Las Vegas, Mojave Desert, Los Angeles, Visalia, Yosemite NP, Modesto and San Francisco we came right here. Of course, we also wanted this one GeoCache / Benchmark on the To-Do list to pick up. And now there is a smiling face. There were no problems ... Yes, the destination fits. Thus: the end is good, all right ...

In other words:
Everything is there, where it belongs, undamaged and waiting for the next visitors.

Now we like to say:
Thank you for your GeoCache / Benchmark and another smiley on our map.

in the area chasing caches and benchmarks

This year we decided to spend our vacation in the USA to finally complete our Jasmer Challenge . In this connection we planned to visit New York, the Niagara Falls, Seattle, Portland and Las Vegas.

On our third day in New York we visited the Empire State Building. Of course we also locked for this Benchmark . In site we found it in good condition.

Greetings from Germany.

photoTeam Skywalker 79@KU3602 - Antenna

We decided to head northeast for a much needed vacation. We're road tripping it over 2,000 miles through several states and Canadian provinces with extended stops at a few locales. We plan to cover NY, CT, RI, MA, NH, ME, VT, NJ, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Quebec. In addition to tourism, we're attempting a bunch of caches along the way targeting Virtuals (new and old), new states, new counties, new provinces, and other fun ones along the way.

I figured this was one once I spotted it.

Spotted the antenna during our visit to the observation floor of the Empire State Building.

In NYC. Here for the sunrise experience - no visibility. Will come back tomorrow.

Got this one on a trip to the Empire State Building. Best view from the 86th floor. Awesome.

I have passed by this one dozens of times since my first visit to NYC back in 1964. My son even proposed to our daughter-in-law here. This evening Sis, Bubba, and our cousins took a double decker bus tour under a gorgeous full moon. The lights of the city were spectacular. It doesn't get much better than this!

Found in our trip to NYC

Visiting New York a few days and we have seen the building and antenna often these days. Today we passed by walking 5th Av. This time we passed by pretty close. A bit more difficult to see the antenna now, but the building is more impressive from here. No time/money to get onto the building, we visited to of the rock yesterday already. We thought it would nicer to see the Empire State building from there than the other way around. Perhaps next time we visit New York we will get onto the Empire State building instead. We'll see.

Together with dc@t i traveled to the states, especially we visited washington, atlantic city, long beach island and new york. We found a lot of different caches. This one's really hard to miss. Saw it from the train on the way into the city. No giant apes in sight today.

Spotted while visiting NYC.

Spotted this while out and about in NYC

Spotted it with G.O. Jen.

This is my vacation in 2011. It's my honeymoon! Together with my new wife I traveled through four new countries. USA, Mexico, Belize and finally Guatemala. We enjoyed different beaches, hiked to the top of an volcano and we drank a lot of beer and cocktails. We saw many places of our planet. Blue water, green trees and a lot more blue skies. We also met nice and friendly people throughout these countries which makes our honeymoon a remarkable vacation. Of course, I found some caches nearby our routes. Traditionals, Multis, Earthcaches and Virtuals. Almost every kind of existing cache. I could even applied one of the new challenges. The weather was just perfect except for the Tropical Storm Harvey that crossed our way on tiny island of Caye Caulker, Belize.

This was third benchmark. A new experience. It was quite easy but also fun. Great thing. I'm sad that there are no benchmarks in other countries. That building was very interessting anyway!

We visited this amazing historical monument while on holiday. Mr skiboo had been here before in 2002 but didn't know about geocaching/benchmarking. So while both Mr & Ms skiboo were up here we did this great benchmark and awed at the amazing views both at by day and by night.

In town to spend the night and do some touring on our way through out the east coast from Maine down to Virginia. We have been here before, but it is always something new. We did not get the chance to cache on our last trip so this made it even more special. Seeing all of the new memorials and the changes to the city since the last visit is really amazing.

found on day trip to NYC! beautiful day out!

Managed to find this one between buildings from the downtown. Photo to come.

Found this one during my walk through New York City.

Found it easily.

You can't miss this one! It's a beautiful bldg. Visiting from Michigan for a week.

Saw this on a caching trip to the city. Impressive as the first time I saw it.

Nice view and only a few other tourists.

????????

On the way out to our Florida holiday we changed at Newark airport and could see tthew building and antenna on the horizon.
However, on the way home we got a far closer look courtesy of Continental Airlines! The flight from Tampa to Newark was delayed 3 hrs because our crew was in Houston. Once we got to Newark we'd missed our connection home! We did get booked on later flights via Paris - but that was 24hrs later, so we had a day spare at Newark.
We decided to go sightseeing in New York, catching the train in and then a sightseing bus tour of downtown. I hadn't downloaded any NY geocaches, but didcided to get a good look at this benchmark!
Thanks, PhilPamandRob (Wirral, NW England)

A retrospective find, as I can't remember the exact date I was here I'll log it as today (June 14th), but I do remember it was 1996. We stayed right next door to the Empire State building for a few days and climbed up a couple of times at night when there were no queues. We went back on our last day to go up in daylight and the queues were so enormous, we aborted.
