Tons of Briars around here: also, construction is being done nearby. When that is done, the MT OLIVE RESET will be a lot easier to get to.

Before I got to the benchmark, I stumbled across another disk that was the same as other benchmarks I have seen. However, It doesn't seemed to be logged. It had an arrow pointing the opporite direction from my target, and inspection dates on it. So why isn't it logged

Found as described. The land now is protected by Green Acres. The fields are overgrown - mostly blackberry and roses. Ouch. Coords are good for the station. Handheld GPS coords for RM1: N 40 52.045 W 74 42.841. For RM2: W 40 52.041 W 74 45.842.

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in May 1999.
  • The orthometric height was determined by GPS observations and a high-resolution geoid model.
  • The X, Y, and Z were computed from the position and the ellipsoidal ht.
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The ellipsoidal height was determined by GPS observations and is referenced to NAD 83.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
