Found the Wolmesdorf USGS disk as well as both of the Reference Mark USGS Disks with the help of my fellow co-workers.

New to this type of search but I had been to this point several times in the last 20 years.

The station and the RMs were a pretty easy find, although the area leading to them was very rocky and hard to walk. There is a PA Game Lands parking lot nearby and an easy walk most of the way to them.
I didn't locate either azimuth mark. A resident told me the 1942 one was under about 2 feet of gravel, and I wasn't able to find the 1960 mark. I will return for the 1960 one after some more research.

Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in July 1986.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
