DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1986 11.8 KM (7.35 MI) NE FROM CROOK. 11.8 KM (7.3 MI) NORTHEAST ALONG US HIGHWAY 138 FROM THE POST OFFICE AT CROOK, AT ROAD 95 LEADING NORTH, 15.9 METERS (52 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE HIGHWAY CENTERLINE, 14.1 METERS (46.3 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST RAIL OF THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD, 1.0 METER (3.4 FT) EAST OF A POWER LINE POLE, 1.2 METERS (4 FT) EAST-NORTHEAST OF A CONCRETE RIGHT OF WAY POST, 2.8 METERS (9.1 FT) EAST OF A TELEPHONE JUNCTION BOX AND 10.1 METERS (33 FT) NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF ROAD 95. Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (G = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
