TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION OF STATE ROUTE 14 GO EAST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 224 FOR 0.2 MILE TO AZIMUTH MARK 61 029 1 P CO ON THE RIGHT. CONTINUE EAST ON STATE ROUTE 224, 0.4 MILE TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT, CONTINUE EAST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 224 FOR 0.45 MILE TO THE INTERSECTION OF MAHONING ROAD, COUNTY HIGHWAY 73, AND AZIMUTH MARK 61 017 1 P CO ON THE RIGHT. STATION MARKS, STAMPED---61-019-1 1977---, ARE PORTAGE COUNTY BRASS DISKS. THE SURFACE DISK IS SET IN THE TOP OF A 12-INCH CYLINDRICAL CONCRETE POST THAT IS 4 INCHES BELOW THE GROUND SURFACE. IT IS 107.2 FEET EAST OF THE EAST END OF THE NORTH BRIDGE HEADWALL ON U.S. HIGHWAY 224, 51.6 FEET SOUTHWEST TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF A HOUSE, ADDRESS NUMBER 9799, 28.3 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF U.S. HIGHWAY 224, 24.0 FEET SOUTHWEST FROM A DOUBLE TRUNK 8-INCH APPLE TREE, AND 14.8 FEET EAST OF TELEPHONE POLE NUMBER DF 225.   • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in April 1998.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
