DESCRIBED BY PORTAGE COUNTY OHIO 1977 (GLW) THE STATION IS ABOUT 4-1/2 MILES SOUTHEAST OF EDINBURG, 3-3/4 MILES SOUTHWEST OF PALMYRA, 3 MILES NORTHWEST OF DEERFIELD, AND ON THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF STATE ROUTE 14. TO REACH THE STATION FROM YALE AT THE INTERSECTION OF COUNTY HIGHWAY 125, ALLIANCE ROAD, STATE ROUTE 14, AND COUNTY HIGHWAY 55, YALE ROAD, GO SOUTHEAST ON STATE ROUTE 14 FOR 0.7 MILE TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT. CONTINUE SOUTHEAST ON STATE ROUTE 14 FOR 0.6 MILE TO AZIMUTH MARK 61 095 1 P CO ON THE RIGHT. STATION MARKS, STAMPED---61-097-1 1977---, ARE PORTAGE COUNTY BRASS DISKS. THE SURFACE DISK IS SET IN THE TOP OF A 12-INCH CYLINDRICAL CONCRETE POST THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE GROUND SURFACE. IT IS 64.5 FEET NORTHEAST OF POWER POLE NUMBER 15752, 55.2 FEET WEST OF A 10-INCH OAK TREE NEAREST THE NORTH-SOUTH FENCE, 45.4 FEET NORTHWEST OF A FENCE CORNER POST, AND 22.2 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF STATE ROUTE 14. THE UNDERGROUND DISK IS SET IN AN IRREGULAR MASS OF CONCRETE ABOUT 42 INCHES BELOW THE GROUND SURFACE. AZIMUTH MARK 61 095 1 P CO, STAMPED---61-095-1 1977---, IS A PORTAGE COUNTY BRASS DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A 12-INCH CYLINDRICAL CONCRETE POST THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE GROUND SURFACE. IT IS 75.8 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF A HOUSE, ADDRESS NUMBER 2205, 28.0 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF STATE ROUTE 14, 13.3 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE CONCRETE STEPS ON THE EMBANKMENT NEAR THE ROADWAY, AND 11.3 FEET SOUTHEAST OF A 6-INCH ORNAMENTAL TREE.   • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in April 1998.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
