ABOUT 2.8 MILES NORTHEAST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 66 FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH STATE HIGHWAY 47 NORTH OF DWIGHT, ABOUT 0.15 MILES NORTHEAST OF THE JUNCTION OF A NORTH-SOUTH GRAVEL ROAD CROSSING, 61 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE NORTH BOUND LANE OF U.S. HIGHWAY 66, 32.5 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST RAIL OF THE SOUTH BOUND TRACK OF THE GULF, MOBILE AND OHIO RAIL ROAD, 10 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE NINTH TELEGRAPH POLE NORTHEAST OF THE JUNCTION, 1.7 FEET NORTH OF A METAL WITNESS POST, 5 FEET BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE TRACK, 2.5 FEET BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE HIGHWAY, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH THE GROUND.

  • The horizontal coordinates were scaled from a topographic map and have an estimated accuracy of +/- 6 seconds.
  • The orthometric height was determined by differential leveling and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in June 1991.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
  • The dynamic height is computed by dividing the NAVD 88 geopotential number by the normal gravity value computed on the Geodetic Reference System of 1980 (GRS 80) ellipsoid at 45 degrees latitude (g = 980.6199 gals.).
  • The modeled gravity was interpolated from observed gravity values.
