Condition Good, but the question is why is this location still in the records as RZ1881? I originally went to find RZ1881 and instead found this bronze disk instead of an X in a rock for WHITE, after some research i found this entry for RZ1659.

IT IS LOCATED IN ABOUT THE CENTER OF THE FLAT SUMMIT OF A PROMINENT, HIGH, BALD HILL WHICH IS CULTIVATED ON ITS N SLOPE. THE STATION MARK, STAMPED WHITE USGS 1945, IS A BRONZE STATION DISK SET IN A BOULDER ABOUT 16 INCHES BY 24 INCHES, AND PROJECTING 6 INCHES ABOVE THE SURFACE. THE MARK WAS SET IN THE LOCATION OF A CROSS ON THE ROCK MARKING THE U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY TRIANGULATION STATION WHITE. IT IS 2.2 METERS W OF A WHITE REFERENCE POST 3 FEET IN HEIGHT. NO UNDERGROUND OR WITNESS MARK WAS SET. REFERENCE MARK 1, STAMPED NO 1, IS A STANDARD U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY DISK SET IN A BOULDER ABOUT 10 INCHES BY 16 INCHES FLUSH WITH THE SURFACE, AND IS AT ABOUT THE SAME ELEVATION AS THE STATION MARK. REFERENCE MARK 2, STAMPED NO 2, IS A STANDARD U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY DISK SET IN A BOULDER ABOUT 12 INCHES BY 18 INCHES, AND PROTRUDING 6 INCHES ABOVE THE SURFACE. IT IS AT ABOUT THE SAME ELEVATION AS THE STATION MARK. A STANDARD U.S. GEOLOGICAL SURVEY BENCH MARK, STAMPED 3107 G W M 55 1941, AND SET IN AN 8-INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 10 INCHES ABOVE THE SURFACE, SERVES AS THE AZIMUTH MARK FOR THIS STATION. IT IS LOCATED ABOUT 100 YARDS SE OF AN OCTAGONAL LOG BUILDING, 8 METERS W OF THE CENTER OF STATE HIGHWAY 3K, 1-1/2 FEET E OF A FENCE LINE, AND 2 METERS S OF A FENCE CORNER. Control Text

  • The horizontal coordinates were established by classical geodetic methods and adjusted by the National Geodetic Survey in December 1991.
  • The NAVD 88 height was computed by applying the VERTCON shift value to the NGVD 29 height (displayed under SUPERSEDED SURVEY CONTROL.)
  • The Laplace correction was computed from DEFLEC99 derived deflections.
  • The geoid height was determined by GEOID99.
