Indiana Illinois bike trail and Embrace Challenge Cache along the White Oak Bike Path
Public
You can easily do this challenge in 1 medium day. If you park at GC2F9A8 I’ll be Bock, you are near the end of nice geocaching run to the south. We biked 12 miles (back and forth and around a bit). This is a mostly paved rails-to-trail route. 80% of the trail is very nice asphalt but the trail goes rough for about 1.4 miles right at the Illinois/Indiana Border(http://coord.info/GC2Z300 ). After this pretty rough but ride-able section, the asphalt picks up until you hit “Part of the Trail” GC2RDVE (across 53rd street). At this point, at least in the midsummer, the rail trail is very thick with bushes-Lots of great raspberry plants but impossible to bike and a bit tiring to walk. Lansing has a number of nice places to eat and we were back in Lansing by 1pm, needing only 7 more Illinois caches to complete the challenge. We grabbed 44 caches today, starting the trails around 8:15 and we left the Embrace Illinois: The Challenge Cache Site at 3 pm. http://coord.info/GC2Y8K1
