Elevation for the cache is right at 2000 feet.The first part of the Ford Canyon Trail is a fairly gentle, upward grade. At 1.81 miles from the Ford Canyon Trailhead at Ramada #9, you will encounter this warning sign. The trail from this point on is fairly rugged, sometimes it becomes a narrow "V"

The park is open daily at 6:00 a.m. The finding of this cache requires a hike of 3.7 miles each way. The sign at the trail head states: Caution: Rough, Steep, Long and Difficult. And it's true!
Watch for a secondary trail that leads off the main trail at 33*34.260 and 112*32.844. This trail will take you to within 35 feet of the cache on a plateau.

It was created for every four wheeler enthusiasts who likes a good challenge.In a very small canyon of Quartz covered by the ever so famous pile of rocks.
