This is one of three caches in this general area.  The higher you get... the higher you get.  And this is as high as you can get in Northern Nevada.

A CACHE BY ANY OTHER NAME

This is at the top of a lonely mountain South of the America's Parkway exit from I-80.  Great 360 degree view and several other caches are in the area.

A.H.R.:#10 RANDALLH

Wow - No easy way up for this one.  Abe suggests hiking up from Highway 80.

Great canyon hike near a rushing mountain stream.

Chivas Me Timbers!

This one is more than a hike....it is an adventure.  There are at least six caches in the area. Don't even think of doing this one without sturdy shoes, plenty of water, and a sense of adventure.

Diehard's Diversion

This is an adventure for the hearty and brave.  The hike is not for wimps and the final location is NOT for acrophobiacs.

DON'T DO CRACK

This may be my favorite cache.  The canyon is great.  The Eagle's nest is memorable.

EAGLE'S NEST

This was placed in 2005 by Abe and it has a total of 4 finds (as of March 2009).   I did it on a traverse of Mt Rose.  You can also get there from Church Pond.  Be sure to get the cache at Church's Pond too.

Up on the side of Peavine.  You can see it a lot easier than you can get there.  Good theme too.

Grab this one on your way to Spanish Springs Mountain.

For the 4X4 Fanatic

You can't get higher than this in Northern Nevada.  The route described in the cache listing is no longer a good or legal choice.  The new route starts at the Armstrong Pass trailhead.

Great views from a high point between Carson City and Washoe Lake.  3 mile round trip with 1000 feet of climbing.

Live and Let Die (Deadman's Cache)

This replaces the original "Deadman's Cache" It is still an excellent and strenuous hike.

Long Live Ammo Cans

Wow - Do you want to introduce someone to caching?  This is the cache to do it.  It is an easy hike to a great destination.  CharliePop's 80 year-old dad did it with us.

Catch it in spring or early summer when there is water flowing.

Negative Ion Generator

What a great view.  We were up here after a recent snowfall.  We saw snow covered peaks in all directions.  This is well worth the relatively short hike. This is part of a great series.  All of them are great hikes.
