Geocache Description:




Fort Lovrijenac or St. Lawrence Fortress, often called "Dubrovnik's Gibraltar".
This fortress rises on a 37-meters-high-cliff. In some places the walls are 12 meters thick. It is triangular in shape and has three terraces. Lovrijenac dominates over sea and land access from the southwest to the city, and once have had important role in the city’s defense.
Today it is used as an open-air stage. It is very suitable for theater plays. Performance of Shakespeare’s "Hamlet" became a trade mark of Dubrovnik Summer Festivals.

The Fort have also been used as a location in the Game of Thrones TV-series

There is no need to access the fort to get to this cache
